Research:

My research interests are directed towards gaining further insights into molecular genetic mechanisms governing plant-microbe interactions. The focus of my recent work has been the functional genomic analysis of pathosystems involving the model plant Arabidopsis thaliana and cosmopolitan fungi characterized by diverse pathogenicity strategies such as the necrotrophic Botrytis cinerea and systemic invaders of the genus Verticillium
